Bin Hire for Builders & Tradies — Repeat Hire & Multi-Site

Builders and tradies work job-to-job, often running multiple sites at once. Published pricing means you quote bin costs upfront without 'call for quote' delays. Email booking works around your site hours. And no fuel levy nonsense — the price is the price.

For repeat contractors, we track your usual bin sizes and phases, making each new job faster to book. Swap-outs between build stages just need an email; you pay for each bin when it ships, no retainer or deposit required.

Published pricing = quotable job costs

Every bin size has a published price — 15m³ is always $1,450, from delivery to collection, including 2.5 tonnes of disposal. You quote a client "Waste removal & disposal: $1,450" and you know exactly what you'll pay. No surprises, no 'fuel levy' added on invoice.

Most residential renovation jobs need a 15m³ (Large) or 20m³ (XL) bin. Multi-stage jobs (strip-out, frame, fit-off) are two or three bins across the build — factor that into your quote upfront.

Heavy waste (concrete slabs, soil) can trigger $340/tonne excess charges. If you're unsure whether a job's waste will fit the included weight, email a photo or description — we'll advise before you commit to the price.

When quoting a client, budget for excess waste at $340/tonne. If you estimate a 15m³ bin for 'general' renovation waste, you're likely safe. If there's a slab, soil, or heavy demolition, add a buffer or book a larger bin.

Email booking and no phone tag

Tradies are busy on-site. We don't need phone calls. Send an email: "15m³ bin, delivery Monday 7am, 42 Oak Street, Prospect. Pickup Friday 3pm." We confirm within 2 hours (Mon–Fri 7am–5pm). One email thread per job, all details in writing.

If your schedule changes, one email: "Push pickup from Friday to Monday 10am," and it's done. No fees for date changes within your hire period.

Swap-outs between build phases

A typical house renovation: Week 1 strip-out (15m³), Week 2–3 frame (20m³), Week 4 fit-off (12m³). Three bins, three emails.

Email us: "Day 6 of strip-out hire — frame crew starting Monday, swap out Friday 4pm, swap in Monday 6am." We confirm, collect Friday, deliver Monday. No fuss, all in writing.

Repeat jobs get faster: we remember your usual phasing and suggest dates. "Last three jobs: 15m³ Mon–Fri, 20m³ Fri–Wed, 12m³ Wed–Fri — booking the same?"

No fuel levy, no hidden fees

The price is all-in: delivery, 7 days, collection, disposal weight included. No 'fuel levy' line item, no 'admin fee', no 'disposal surcharge' unless you go over the included weight.

Extensions: $15/day if you need the bin longer than 7 days. That's it — email before day 7 ends, pay $15/day, keep the bin.

Excess weight: only if you load more than the included allowance (1.5–4.5t depending on bin size). Weighed at facility, emailed to you, then charged if you approve. You're never surprised.

The $340/tonne excess and client quoting

Heavy waste (concrete ≈2.4t/m³, soil ≈1.4–1.8t/m³) can mean overweight charges. A 15m³ bin with 2.5t included disposal capacity can fit only about 1m³ of concrete before the excess kicks in.

When you quote a client, separate heavy waste: "Shed demolition ($1,450 bin) + slab removal ($340/tonne, estimate 2–3t)." Or book a separate dedicated bin for the slab. Clients understand line items better than surprise invoices.

Multi-site jobs: if you have two sites running, book bins for each — no transfers, no double-handling. Email each site's pickup and delivery windows.

Tradie Guide — FAQs

What's the most popular bin size for a residential renovation?
15m³ Large (from $1,450, includes 2.5t). It fits most strip-outs, frame waste, and fit-off debris from a single-storey house or three-bedroom reno. For larger or multi-storey homes, 20m³ (from $1,750, includes 3t) is the go.
If I'm doing multiple jobs at once, do I need multiple bins?
Yes — one bin per site, one email per job. Don't try to haul waste between sites; it's slower, riskier, and harder to track. Email each site's delivery and pickup window separately.
How do I quote a client for waste removal if I don't know the exact waste weight?
Use the bin price + an estimate for excess. Example: "Waste removal: $1,450 (15m³ bin, 2.5t included) + $340/tonne for waste over 2.5t; estimate 500kg excess = +$170." Or photograph the site beforehand and email us for a weight estimate — we'll advise within 2 hours.
Can I extend a bin rental if the job runs over?
Yes — email before day 7 ends. Extensions are $15/day. Most renovation jobs do run over; it's not a problem. Just email us.
Do you offer discounts for repeat builders?
Pricing is published and the same for everyone — no discounts, but no surprises either. For high-volume contractors (10+ bins/month), email us to discuss options.
